What Affects the Price
- Total fence length. Longer runs cost more in total but often less per metre, as setup and travel are spread out.
- Panel height. Each step up in height adds steel, heavier posts and labour.
- Mesh aperture and wire. Smaller openings and thicker wire use more steel.
- Posts, foundations and fixings. Deeper footings, base plates, security bolts and clamp bars all add cost.
- Protective finish. Powder coating over galvanising costs more but suits coastal sites.
- Terrain and access. Rock, sand, slopes and tight access slow the job.
- Removing existing fencing. Demolition, disposal and making good the ground.
- Gates. Each gate is priced separately, and vehicle gates cost far more than pedestrian gates.
